Welcome to the Land of Make Believe…

Mister Rogers would be proud.   In the era of government bailouts and economic uncertainty, Washington DC can sometimes feel like the Neighborhood of Make Believe.

And in the city where Barack Obama has replaced King Friday XIII, I seemed to have stumbled upon a group of individuals who seemingly replaced real guitars with, well, air.

Back on May 29th, I ventured out to the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC to attend the U.S Air Guitar Regional Competition.  I honestly didn’t know what to expect.  I have a friend that competed in the Brooklyn, NY competition (she lost), but she could only give me a sense of the outfits (ahem, wardrobe) that may be expected.
